ACTIVITY RESEARCH PROJECTS PROPOSALS CONTACTS

PROJECTS

The activities led by Davide Tansini also include variously ranged cultural projects which combine the engagement in research with that in practical activities.
The operative ambit’s represented by the fortified and military architecture and by the local history of the Middle and the Modern Age.
Aim of this engagement – which concentrates itself particularly on the ancient State of Milan – is identification, study and valorization of the cultural ‘heritage’ represented by the historical and monumental evidences present in the territory.
A cultural project’s more than a simple manifestation: it’s a modus operandi, a programmatic line and a cultural ‘platform’ in which they can insert various activities and undertakings.
Davide Tansini’s minded to conceive and lead cultural projects, also in collaboration with privates, bodies or associations.
Here following they’re listed the projects now operative.

Image and memory

Historical evidences aren’t eternal: passing the years both architectures and archives documents suffer destructions and alterations, significant too, so that they erode their value and representativity.
So, preventing or trying to reduce the damages deriving from these losses’s a cultural operation of primary importance, which simultaneously devotes itself to the past, to the present and to the future.
Just the Image and memory project led by Davide Tansini takes care of keeping the harvested evidences, through simple and practical forms which combine the visual perception with the informatic instrument: the digital photographic reproductions.
The acquired subjects divide in two categories: the exemplars of fortified and military architecture (villages, castles, bastioned fronts, rocche, towers) and archival documentations (plans, maps, memorials, letters, notes, registers, reports).
Besides the keeping, aim of the project’s providing a valid instrument for the study and the research, which necessarily must be based on the documents.
For the fortified and military architecture, in particular, Image and memory isn’t restricted to vaster and more known fortified complexes, but gives attention also to so called ‘minor’, transformed or no longer whole structures. In the same way, it doesn’t prefer in photographic shots panoramas or primary buildings, but it goes into architectonical details and into secondary structures. All this to acquire the largest number of information related to every monument.
